Single-Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings
Single-row deep groove ball bearings are the most common type of rolling bearings.
Their use is very widespread.
In addition to open type bearings, these bearings often have steel shields or rubber seals installed on one or both sides and are prelubricated with grease. Also, snap rings are sometimes used on the periphery. As to cages, pressed steel ones are the most common.
For big deep groove ball bearings, machined brass cages are used.
Machined cages are also used for high speed applications.

The deep groove ball bearings are widely used in many industries. It mainly bears radial load and small axial load. Usually the material of the ring and ball is GCr15 (similar asAISI52100) chrome steel、AISI440c stainless steel or 20# (similar as AISI1020) carbon steel. For carbon steel bearings, after chemical carburization treatment, with a treated depth of 0.50~0.90mm, the surface hardness of the ring is about HRC58-61, while the cage is made of brass band (H62)、refined steel band (SPCC BQB402)、0.8F cold rolling steel band、stainless steel band AISI302、enhanced engineering plastics or phenol aldehyde. Shield is made of steel band (SPCC, ICr18Ni9) or cold rolling steel band. Seal is usually made of nitrile rubber, while fluorocarbon, silicone and teflon seals are commonly specified for high temperatures.
